Coast To Coast AM

What do Ray Bradbury, Kevin Mitnick, Michael Badnarik, Ray Kurzweil, and Amarillo Slim have in common?

They've all been guests recently on Coast To Coast AM, an overnight talk radio show hosted George Noory on weeknights and hosted by the original host, Art Bell on the weekends. The exact subject of the show ranges wildly from fringe topics (UFO, alien, occult, paranormal, ghosts, time travel, conspiracies, psychic predictions) to technology, science fiction, interviews with famous people. The shows are a mix of interview with the special guest and listener call-in segments, sometimes mixed so the listeners can ask the guests questions on-air.

In my experience, I've always caught Coast To Coast AM on the AM dial, usually between 11pm and 7am (the show is 4 hours long, but some stations loop it and play it twice or almost twice.) It's great for idle overnight listening and you wake up occasionally in the middle of the night to the weirdest subject matter... Even if you aren't normally into conspiracy/paranormal topics, the thoughtful, bizarre, and insightful range of subjects on this show will probably hook you.

Take a moment to browse over the Coast to Coast AM site and check for a local affiliate near you.

Update 5/1/2006: Last night's show was actually hosted by Kevin Mitnick with Steve Wozniak as the guest. Kevin interviewed Steve for 3+ hours then they opened up the phone lines for caller's questions during the last hour. That was a Geek Fest!
